Pittsburgh’s forward depth comes through, Callahan keeps producing, and backup goalies deliver shutouts. Adidas Superstar Baratas Online . Lineup news, Fantasy tips and more in Scott Cullen’s Statistically Speaking. HEROES Blake Comeau – The Penguins winger had a hat trick in a 4-3 overtime win against Toronto. With eight goals in 20 games this season, he was one of the best bargain signings of the off-season, made all the more important by Pascal Dupuis absence from the lineup due to blood clots. Here are the highest scoring veteran forwards – minimum 200 GP and have been eligible for unrestricted free agency – with a cap hit of a million dollars or less this season: Bargain Shopping PLAYER TEAM POS GP G A PTS CAP HIT Blake Comeau Pittsburgh LW/RW 20 8 5 13 $700,000 Steve Downie Pittsburgh RW 21 3 7 10 $1,000,000 Derek Roy Nashville C 21 1 9 10 $1,000,000 Ryan Carter Minnesota C 20 2 7 9 $725,000 Lee Stempniak N.Y. Rangers RW 18 4 4 8 $900,000 Patrick Eaves Dallas RW 16 2 5 7 $650,000 Ryan Callahan – On a night that marked Martin St. Louis’ return to Tampa Bay, the player for whom he was traded scored two goals and added an assist in a 4-3 win for the Lightning. Playing with Steven Stamkos (who had a goal and two assists against the Rangers) seems to agree with Callahan, as he has 19 points (10 G, 9 A) in 18 games for the season to go with strong (56.5% Corsi) possession stats. Backups with Shutouts Martin Jones – The Kings’ second-stringer recorded a 28-save shutout in a 4-0 win at Minnesota. Through his first 25 career appearances, Jones has a .935 save percentage. Since the start of last season, that’s the best save percentage among goaltenders with at least 25 games played. Karri Ramo – Calgary’s backup stopped all 32 shots he faced in a 2-0 shutout win at San Jose, the first time this season that he’s allowed fewer than two goals against. ZEROES Mark Scheifele – The Jets centre had no shot attempts and 33.3% (7 shot attempts for, 14 against) possession in 18:43 at Buffalo and has two points (1 G, 1 A) in his past seven games. Troy Brouwer – The Capitals winger had no shot attempts and was buried in the defensive zone (4 shot attempts for, 21 against, 16.0%) in 17:38 against the Islanders. Red Light District Darcy Kuemper – Surrendered four goals on 10 shots and was pulled after the first period in a 4-0 loss to Los Angeles. Steve Mason – Two days after getting lauded for improved play in Philadelphia, Mason gave up three goals in 14 shots against Detroit. Easy come, easy go. LINEUP NEED TO KNOW Roberto Luongo – Florida’s ace puck-stopper suffered an upper-body injury and left after stopping all 11 shots he faced in Florida’s 1-0 win over Carolina. With Luongo sidelined, Al Montoya will get more starts and Dan Ellis has been called up from the AHL. Pavel Datsyuk – Returned to the Red Wings’ lineup and scored two goals in a 5-2 win over Philadelphia. Andrew Shaw – Was back in the Chicago lineup, and scored a goal, in a 3-2 win at Colorado. Karl Alzner – With Mike Green out with an upper-body injury, Alzner played 22:42 against the Islanders, his first time over 22 minutes since the third game of the season. Erik Johnson – The Colorado defenceman was out of the lineup after getting an elbow in the head the previous game. Karl Stollery was plugged into the Avalanche lineup with Johnson out. David Booth – The veteran winger played his first game of the season for the Maple Leafs, playing 9:33 at Pittsburgh. Luke Schenn – Was a healthy scratch for the Flyers at Detroit. He’s been averaging a career-low 16:21 per game this season, but has serviceable possession (49.0% Corsi) stats in that limited role. Michal Jordan – The 24-year-old has been putting in time in the AHL, and was called up after putting up seven points (2 G, 5 A) in 15 games this season. He was inserted into the Carolina lineup at Florida and played 14:59. His stated reason for abruptly resigning as head coach of Canadas Olympic womens hockey team was he felt there were doubts about his ability to coach the team to Olympic gold in February.CLEVELAND -- The Browns punched the AFC Norths biggest bully in the mouth. The defending Super Bowl champion Ravens are wobbling. Jason Campbell threw three touchdown passes -- two to Davone Bess -- and the Browns ended an 11-game losing streak against Baltimore, beating the Ravens 24-18 on Sunday. Campbells 3-yard pass to Bess on fourth down with three minutes left helped the Browns (4-5) seal their first win over Baltimore since 2007. A week ago, Bess dropped a pass in a similar situation in the closing minutes of a loss at Kansas City. The Ravens (3-5) lost their third straight and didnt win in the week following a bye for the first time in six tries under coach John Harbaugh. Baltimores Joe Flacco had a pair of TD passes to rookie Marlon Brown, but the Super Bowl MVP couldnt rally the Ravens, who made too many mistakes and are in danger of missing the playoffs. Making his second straight start after Brandon Weeden was benched, Campbell completed 23 of 35 passes for 262 yards. The nine-year veteran was at his best in the closing minutes, when the Browns ran 6:30 off the clock to finish off the Ravens, who have lost four of five. Campbell, who briefly left the game in the first half with a rib injury, evaded pressure before making his big completion to Bess and later alertly flipped the ball to running back Chris Ogbonnaya to set up Billy Cundiffs 22-yard field goal with 14 seconds left to put the Browns ahead by six. The Ravens had one last chance, but running back Ray Rice was tackled near midfield as the Browns beat Baltimore for the first time since Flacco and Harbaugh arrived. Browns wide receiver Greg Little had seven catches for 122 yards. Flacco finished 24 of 41 for 250 yards, but Baltimores offence sputtered most of the game against Clevelands vastly improved defence. Down 21-10 and running out of time, Flacco connected with Brown for a 7-yard TD with 12:09 left and then hit him again for the 2--point conversion to cut Clevelands lead to three. Adidas Superstar Baratas España. Tandon Doss, who earlier fumbled away a punt, set up the score with a 36-yard return that sparked the Ravens. But it was the Browns who made the big plays in the closing minutes, none more important than Bess grab as coach Rob Chudzinski went for it on fourth down with 3:12 left. The Browns capitalized on a muffed punt by Doss to open a 21-10 lead in the third as Campbell threw a 4-yard TD pass to Gary Barnidge with 5:11 left. Baltimores defence, missing Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, was uncharacteristically confused during the sequence as the Ravens were penalized for having 12 men on the field and Barnidge was able to slip away from the line uncovered. After looking dysfunctional for most of the first half, the Ravens came alive in the final minute and pulled to 14-10 on Flaccos 19-yard TD pass to Brown, an undrafted free agent, with nine seconds left. Campbells second TD pass to Bess gave the Browns a 14-3 lead in the second quarter. On 3rd-and-3 from the 20, Campbell a hit a wide-open Bess over the middle and the wide receiver did the rest, faking out cornerback Lardarius Webb at the 10 before sprinting into the end zone and then celebrating by slapping hands with Browns fans reaching over the railing. A week ago, Bess had a hard time finding any friends in Cleveland. His critical fumble on a punt return and a dropped pass in the final minutes denied the Browns any chance of rallying to upset the unbeaten Chiefs. Bess, who entered the game tied for the league lead in drops, didnt make any excuses for the miserable performance and vowed to atone for his mistakes. In the first quarter, Bess caught a 1-yard TD pass from Campbell, fighting off two defenders to haul in the throw at the goal line after Chudzinski rolled the dice and went for it on 4th-and-goal. The Ravens trimmed Clevelands lead to 7-3 on Justin Tuckers 51-yard field goal. ' ' '
